Delivery and Assembly Policy

Home Delivery

By selecting the carrier delivery service, the Customer agrees to the availability and terms of this service.

If the Customer is unavailable to receive the items on the agreed date and time window, they must contact Detalhes & Design Dubai within 24 hours from the initially scheduled delivery date. Requests for changes made after this period may incur additional fees, which will be calculated at the time of the request.

The Customer commits to being present at the delivery location on the agreed date and time and to remain reachable by phone to receive the merchandise. If delivery cannot be completed due to the Customer’s fault, the Customer will bear the cost of any subsequent deliveries, according to the applicable transportation fee schedule.

If the delivery delay is caused by the carrier, the Customer must reschedule the delivery within 72 hours. Failure to do so will entitle Detalhes & Design Dubai to terminate the contract, notify the Customer, and refund the purchase price using the original payment method.

Rescheduling is subject to delivery service availability.

If the second delivery appointment occurs on a different date than initially scheduled, the Customer shall be responsible for the full cost of this second delivery, without reimbursement of the initial delivery fee, as per the agreed quotation.

The above applies to any situation where the Customer’s actions or omissions prevent delivery, such as lack of access to the delivery address.

The Customer must ensure in advance that delivery is possible without the need for lifting equipment to place items at the unloading location. If delivery cannot be made for this reason, items will be left outside the delivery address, and the contract will be considered fulfilled by Detalhes & Design Dubai.

The use of lifting equipment, extra helpers, floor surcharges, overtime, or any other additional resources required is not included in the transportation service and will be subject to separate quotation.

In the “Delivery Information” form, the Customer must notify Detalhes & Design Dubai of any obstacles that may prevent or hinder delivery at the specified location (such as number of floors, narrow doors, stairs, lack or insufficiency of elevators, pedestrian zones, restricted time zones, lack of electricity, etc.). Providing accurate information is essential for Detalhes & Design Dubai to assess service feasibility.

The Customer acknowledges that delivery is subject to noise regulations, specifically after 8:00 p.m., on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays, in accordance with Decree-Law 9/2007 of January 17, as amended by Decree-Law No. 80/2015 of May 14. The Customer shall notify Detalhes & Design Dubai of any local holidays that may prevent delivery on the scheduled date.

Upon delivery, the Customer must verify:

  • That all goods are properly packaged;

  • That the delivered items correspond to the purchased references;

  • The quantity and condition of the items.

The Customer shall confirm all items at delivery. In case of damages, errors, or discrepancies, the Customer must immediately contact Detalhes & Design Dubai Customer Support (+971 56 435 3993) or within 48 hours after delivery, so the issue can be addressed.

This procedure does not affect the Customer’s right to claim under product warranty, which is valid for one year from the delivery date.

Assembly and Installation

When contracting assembly and/or installation services, Detalhes & Design Dubai commits to performing the service at the agreed location and date, starting within the agreed time window. The Customer must be present, reachable by phone, and remain at the specified location during the service.

Assembly

If assembly service is contracted, Detalhes & Design Dubai will assemble the items according to the instructions provided, without adapting or modifying the furniture. Assembly will always be performed with items placed horizontally (laid flat on the floor). The Customer must provide electrical power at the assembly location for the use of assembly tools.

Assembly will not be performed on items not purchased from Detalhes & Design Dubai.

When wall mounting is part of the assembly, it is included in the service. Items must be fixed to the wall to prevent hazards, and the Detalhes & Design Dubai assembly team is instructed to do so. The Customer is responsible for any damage to hidden structures caused by fixing items in locations designated by the Customer.

The Customer acknowledges that by refusing wall mounting:
(i) They are aware that the items require fixation to the wall, floor, or ceiling for safety;
(ii) The contracted services include such fixation;
(iii) They assume full responsibility for any damages resulting from lack of fixation and waive any claims against Detalhes & Design Dubai for damages or losses caused by falling items.
